The following terms and conditions apply to all events,
functions, weddings and conferences held at ‘Cheshire
Conference Centre ’,
Hardcastle Road, Edgeley, Stockport
A signed copy of the contract is required within 14 days of confirmation. Contracts not returned
within this period may result in the booking being
cancelled.
All prices quoted are inclusive
of VAT (unless otherwise specified). This shall be
the rate prevailing when confirmation of the booking
was received and is subject to alteration at any time.
Payment terms
a)
Conference bookings are subject to a non-refundable
deposit of £150.00. Cheques payable
to Manchester Sale Rugby Club Ltd
b) Weddings, banquets & dinners,
dinner dances, sporting dinners, private parties etc
are subject to a non-refundable deposit of £250.00.
The balance is then due at least 7 days prior to the
event unless credit facilities have been agreed by
Edgeley Park at least two weeks prior to the event
(references may be required).
If advance payment has been made any additional charges
incurred on the day of the event or after the invoice
has been sent to you are due for payment. Please be
prepared to deal with such payments on the day of
the event.
It is the policy of Cheshire
Conference Centre
not to under cater in any circumstances
No wines, spirits, food or beverages
may be brought into the club or grounds by or on behalf
of the client or any guests for consumption on the
premises unless prior consent of the club has been
obtained, for which a charge shall be made.
Cheshire Conference Centre does
not insure any items bought onto the premises (such
as wedding presents, audio visual equipment, computers
etc). We therefore suggest that if you plan to leave
any items unattended during the event, you need
to check that you have adequate insurance cover
against their damage or loss.
Final numbers
All details of room layout, bar and catering requirements
and final numbers of persons attending must be given
at least two weeks prior to the event. Numbers may
drop by a maximum of 20% of the contracted number.
If numbers drop by more than 20% charges will be calculated
in accordance with the paragraph marked ‘Cancellation
by the client’.
Cancellation by the client – All
cancellations must be confirmed in writing:-
12 weeks prior to event –
Loss of deposit
Between 6 and 12 weeks – 25% of booking value
Between 4 and 6 weeks – 50% of booking value
Between 2 and 4 weeks – 75 % of booking value
Less than 2 weeks – 100% of booking value
Cancellation by the club-Cheshire
Conference Centre reserves the right to cancel a
contract if:-
a) The grounds or rooms are required
for a re-arranged or unforeseen match or other
event in which in the absolute opinion of the club
renders the function impractical or impossible
to hold. In the event of such a cancellation, Cheshire
Conference Centre
shall use all reasonable endeavours to relocate
or re-arrange the event to an alternative venue
or date. Cheshire
Conference Centre shall not be held liable
or be required to pay any form of compensation
for any loss sustained as a result of the cancellation.
b) You become insolvent or in the case
of an individual become subject to bankruptcy petition
c) The booking may damage the reputation
of the club
The client shall be responsible
for any loss, damage, expenses or other liability
caused to the club by the clients, guests or employees
and shall pay on demand the amount required to remedy
or make good any such loss, damage, expense or other
liability.
Cheshire Conference Centre shall not be liable
to the client for any loss, theft or damage caused
to personal property belonging to the client, his
guests or employees on the premises (including motor
vehicles).
Any typographical, clerical or
other error or omission in any sales literature,
quotation, price list, acceptance or offer, invoice
or other document or information issued by Cheshire
Conference Centre shall
be subject to correction without any liability on
part of Cheshire
Conference Centre.
A damage waiver/security
deposit may be requested in advance of a function
where deemed appropriate by Cheshire
Conference Centre. Clients shall be informed
separately of the details. Failure to adhere to this
policy could result in the cancellation of the
function
The Cheshire Conference Centre is a trading name of Manchester Sale Rugby Club
Ltd, with whom the legal contract exists.
