Cheshire Conference Centre Supports Local Cancer Charity...

Cheshire Conference Centre, based at Edgeley Park (Stockport) has announced that Beechwood Cancer Care has been appointed as their official nominated charity for 2008/09.
Beechwood Cancer Care, based at Chelford Grove, Stockport, is a day centre that opened in 1990 to help anyone whose life has been affected by the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Beechwood Cancer Care offer a range of free support, including one to one talk time, complementary therapies and group sessions to help patients, family members and carers cope with all the problems they may have to face.
Commenting on the appointment Blair Glen, General Manager of Cheshire Conference Centre stated "The partnership began when Beechwood Cancer Care held an event at Cheshire Conference Centre (Edgeley Park) and I was touched by their excellent work. After visiting Beechwood Cancer Cancer premises you can’t help but feel very humble seeing the fantastic care they provide, all of which is free of charge to the patient. It is a pleasure to support this local charity which benefits the Stockport community."
Allen Whittaker, Chief Executive of Beechwood Cancer Care added "Beechwood is probably currently Stockport’s largest independent local charity. As such we are proud to be associated with another major player in the town. I am sure that the benefits of working together will be mutually beneficial and look forward to other successful events at the Cheshire Conference Centre".
Cheshire Conference Centre will assist Beechwood Cancer Care in organising and supporting their charity events, in the form of fundraising matches and charity walks, to raise much-needed funds to support the charity throughout the year.
